I’m trying to save all pennies as much as I can because of big expenses we’re expecting. I cancelled my parking at work, took the train to work, avoid eating on fast food, brought my own lunch, bought foods on bulk, downgrade our cable subscription, step down on internet speed we need.. and more. However, downgrading internet speed is not really helpful. Hahah I have to go back and subscribe to the old service we have. I cannot work with slow internet, it’s not productive and I cannot afford wasting time. Anyway, it’s only $5 more to double up the speed.. hahahha I’m so cheap huh? I’m a real penny pincher! lol With faster internet again, I can search Insinkerator for better prices in seconds ;) No more waiting.. I hope! Life can be tough sometimes.. the more you’re trying to save, the more it will accumulate cost.

Growing up in a poor family, it happened to us too borrowing money from friends, neighbors and families. Every time my mom received her salary, it all goes to paying her debt. We know that we should just live on what we have but sometimes what we have is not really enough for us, thus, borrowing money cannot be avoided. I valued what my mom said that when you borrow money, you have to make sure to pay it so you can borrow again when you need it. And I never forget that. She also said to be upfront to that person and tell the truth if you cannot pay it on time because hiding or running away will not help but will make things worse.

I have lesson learned about lending and borrowing money to your friends. I normally lend money not because I have too much overflowing money on my bank account, but I often see the need to that person and I just want to help. Thinking that this person may not pay me back was already considered. But of course I don’t see it that way, because I considered that person to be my friend and that they will not run away from me. I also considered the risk that this friend of mine will be no longer my friend if they start hiding and avoiding me. No, it’s not that I don’t want them to be my friend anymore but they are the one pushing you away from their life. lol So get it, leave-them-alone!

Therefore, my lesson for myself now, is never lend money to friends, especially if it will involve big amount. I have to consider that I have family in need too that looking my friend’s financial problem is not my responsibility.

Need to stop now so I can read phosphacore reviews before dinner.

I think I wanna go back selling on Ebay again. I have a lot of supplies like envelopes, boxes, and labels for shipping. So I need to get rid of them. I was selling on Ebay for more than a year before. I only stopped when I got full time job. I was selling sterling silver jewelry before. I have passion of collecting them when I was younger. :) The only thing is the old supplier where I get my inventory increased their prices and I think it’s not anymore profitable because I cannot pass the item with high mark up.

Unless, I research in Thailand or go in Thailand to look for suppliers ;) Then I can resort to low cost, but of course that will need a lot of capital, time, and involves thorough planning. My brother in law just invested his money to a Subway franchise close to their area. Maybe I can ask help or advice from him regarding capitalization. ;)

I had a phone call with my officemate the other day and we just talked about the crazy trend of stock market. You cannot really rely on how  big the company is if they will stay afloat in the industry. AIG is kind of dwindling and hopefully will not follow Lehman Brothers path of bankruptcy. I’m not holding any AIG stocks but our pension insurance company back home is affiliated with AIG. Although the company back home already give their statement that they don’t have agreement with AIG to help them out when in their financial distress, but the fear is still there.

For now, I really don’t know where to put money (as if I have too much money huh? lol) that you can maximize earnings. I stopped my forex trading because the currency is very volatile right now and I’m not that brave to dive in..specially cannot follow the currency or economic news lately.  Mostly I’m spending my time shopping online.. and that one alone can diminish funds from my bank account. lol

I need to get a flash memory card for my sister back home. So I’ll be back!

I’m currently holding my self in trading this month until June. I just need to focus in other things. I need to wake up early and set up my trading but I have no power to do that now. I cannot move my self to get up and work on my computer that early anymore. Even I’m not trading I’m continue following the trend and news.

I’m glad that I’m on my second day taking the light rail transit (train). That will save me extra money that I can use for shopping. gas prices is so expensive that hurts my pocket. We all know that it will continue to go up and no way that it will go down to $2/gallon. Haaay, for now all we can do is to save if we can.

I’ve been trading forex for over a year now. I started August 2006 when I attended a seminar for an income opportunity. My eyes were opened about the option of earning from foreign currency trading. I was already trading stocks so I have no fear of venturing this kind of investment.

It’s really true, it’s a risky trade option. I experienced the downs many times but I have an attitude that I know I can make it and recover it. I’m not disciplined too and that causes most of my failure in my trading.

Anyway, here’s the video I found to get you familiar.

The market is really, really bad! My stocks that I bought for $14+ is now $5+.. waaaaaaaaaaaaaah! And I’m still not pulling it out. :(
Every store has a sales.. you can tell how they wanted to increase their sales. It’s so nice to shop and buy things cheaply but the problem, money wise; it’s not the right time to spend. *sigh*

Okay, they said that because of OFW’s (Overseas Filipino Worker) dollar remittance to their family in the Philippines is helping peso to get stronger. Now I suggest to please stop sending your dollars so we can push peso to weaken. *lol*

Waaah sana bumalik na dollars!

I’ve stopped forex trading for a week now. The market has a lot of surprises and I have no time to scan and study the chart. I still follow what’s going on but I’m not making any position.

I have to back up a little bit to avoid tremendous loss. I just can’t afford to loss more money that’s it.

Yaaay just few more hours and we will start on the year 2008. Time really flies quickly! The year 2007 didn’t close so well in terms of our investment. And I still hate the peso getting stronger but no effect can be seen. I just hope that things will reverse soon.

Have you considered giving away pen as a token of appreciation to your customers or client? I think this is one of the best and budget friendly gift to have. Giving away small token for appreciation to your client will help them think that you really value their connection in your business. This could also help advertising you company as your logo will be on the pen that they will use.

So don’t let this moment pass to create an image to your client.

My officemate and I are continuously watching the stock market. The difference between us, is I don’t think too much about the loose of my stocks while her, is getting mad and sad about the market.

Of course I’m not happy with the result of my money but what can I do? I don’t think pulling out is a good idea either.

I once read in a stock investing book that says to forget the money you invest in order to be a good investor. *lol* I think what it meant about forgetting it is not letting your everyday life be affected by the market.

Haaay, anyway, it’s only money. You can earn that back in the long run. Right?

I recently created a post about business opportunity with Cyberwize in my other blog. You can visit my site to know more information about the products and the company.

I found family life insurance as necessity. It’s not an option for me.. it’s my need. My father died early leaving five kids without anything. We learned our lesson in a hard way, that insurance is a must for every parent. We all know that we will die. So why not face the truth and secure the life of your loved ones? They will surely thank you when you’re gone. :)

I’m planning to open a new checking accounts to separate my mom and my account. I don’t want her money to mingle with mine. I find it hard to manage as I always use it thinking that it was mine.. :D
Anyway, I’m looking to open account that can give me quick access for online banking and also use in paying online bills. I know that my mom will be happy to have and see her money on her account ;)

With so many things I need to do everyday, the 24 hours in a day is not enough to juggle things. I’m really thankful with my new job. I’m really relax and no tension to compete and that’s big factor in my continuous living in this world.

I’m excited to pass my probation period, and that would be October 2008. I want to set different work hours. Like coming in and work ten hours in four days. I can spend a day with another important work in my life. :) And that is sharing about my hope and faith to God.

Have you heard about Tunguska Blast? It’s a dietary supplement in the form of juice. I attended the seminar last weekend and I’m amazed with the result of the product. Not really with the marketing or pay out opportunity. It’s seems unattainable on my part. The marketing plan could work for some people I think.

Anyway, about the product which they also call T-Blast, my mom has always been a good tools for me when I want to test something or if it works. (of course I also practice my judgment before giving things to her to try) My mom is diabetic and some high blood issue. She continuously takes prescription drugs for her sugar and cholesterol level. And after 2 days of taking the T-Blast on it’s 200% suggested servings, she said that it works really good to her.

She’s able to sleep well and no more sprain on her legs at night. She also reported that her sugar level became average. (by the way she still continue taking her prescription).

I don’t want to brainwash people.. but ey it will not hurt you to try. You can get the 32 oz bottle for $55 and that is good for 30 days supply. (it depends, since my mom took 2 servings daily) And you can return it if you’re not satisfied. So nothing to loose!

My result is different, since I don’t have any ailments yet.. my concern is my stress level, my problem sleeping, and may achy body when I wake up in the morning. I only take the suggested dosage which is 1oz daily. I took mine every morning and I noticed that my sleep became better and I don’t wake up with achy body now.

We’re taking this for 4 days now. Let me know if you want to try ?

A friend of mine invited me to a seminar that will talks about earning additional income while working part-time. Sometimes it sounds too good to be true. I have a feeling that this is income opportunity will include selling and recruiting. But let see if this income opportunities can really help to earn extra income. I want to come with open mind without procrastination. That would be next week.

Anyway, while blogging, I have been asked if I know plasma cutting machine. I think I found the information online. So if you want to know go directly on the website that created this machine :)

Effective January 1, 2008, California minimum wage will be $8/hr. A 50 cents increase from this year and $1.45 more from Federal minimum wage.

Earning $8/hour is like working 8 hours in the country where I came from. Yes, $8 is a pay for the full day worked. That’s the reason why they wanted to work abroad to get enough pay to support their family (it’s never been enough though).

Anyway, doing my math, if a person will work the full year, with 2080 work hours at $8/hr, they will get $16,640/year or almost $1,400 a month. And this is not enough to support a family. Sad but it’s the reality of living abroad This is not even enough to support a single individual.

Apartment normally cost $800-1000/month, for one bedroom. You can probably go cheaper if you only bedspace, probably $450-600/month. And of course you need a transportation to bring you to work.. decent car will probably chunk $300-450 a month from your pocket. Or you can go to second hand that probably you can get $200-280 a month mortgage.

The house and car are the basics you need in order to survive here. The cost I mentioned doesn’t include the car registration, car insurance, gasoline, car maintenance, basic utilities (gas, water, electricity, garbage disposal etc), secondary utilities (cellphone, landlines, cable, internet etc), food & clothing.

So you see, why most of the people here in America need two jobs? Now you know. Oh I forgot the salary of $1400 is not net of tax.. haaaay crazy huh?
